Business Intelligence: Beyond Structured Data! |
|
Join MSBIC as we welcome Rick Herrera, Microsoft Business Productivity Solutions Specialist, South Central District, and Dave Bellando, Portals & Collaboration Practice Lead, Artis Consulting, who will co-present on “beyond structured data” and how effective Business Intelligence must integrate both ‘structured’ and ‘unstructured’ data to allow workers the ability to get the right information at the right time.
In addition, the presentation will take a closer look at data the average worker consumes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Email) and examine how Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) can be used to manage and deliver this ‘unstructured data’ both within and outside the enterprise (Intranets and Extranets). Discussions will further investigate taxonomy development, search capability enhancements and using “content types” and “audiences” to target information to users.
